Clara Eckert-Framm replied to Carla Gannis's discussion Tagline?
"Yes, I think there could definitely be a better tagline. "Just talk, don't worry" sounds a bit generic. I'm thinking maybe the tagline could also imply something about all the options/possibilities made available by PitchPerfect,…"

Tagline?

I'm not sure about the tagline? I agree "talk" or "speak" should be in there to convey that the "pitch" in your logo/product name is referring to sound and not to the act of throwing, but it doesn't feel "perfect" as a tagline yet.DON'T WORRY, SPEAK HAPPY (yes happy is an adverb and should be happily, but "Think Different" breaks the rules too) -- perhaps too hokey?Anyone else have tagline suggestions?See More

Carla Gannis replied to Clara Eckert-Framm's discussion What else could PitchPerfect be used for?
"Yes, I agree the modifying of one's accent could be an excellent additional feature. Being from the south as well, I know many "Southerners" relate more to a caller who speaks with a southern accent or dialect, however in other…"

"Since I'm not a native speaker of english I think it would be awesome if I could get rid of my accent at least when on the phone. Oh, and if it could get fix grammatical errors as I'm talking, then that would be great too."

What is PitchPerfect?

PitchPerfect is a piece of software that you can have installed in your cell phone. It will analyze your conversation partner's voice, tone, cadence and other relevant aspects and can then alter your voice, tone, and cadence to be more appealing to the person on the other end. You can also customize the criteria by which PitchPerfect alters your voice, so you are in control of what kind of impression you will make on your conversation partner.
PitchPerfect is useful to a broad array of different people. In the business world it could be used for telemarketers who need to keep their tone and attitude steadily positive and friendly for a lengthy amount of time, even in the face of difficult social interactions. With the help of PitchPerfect, this would be less of a strain on the employee and the customer service or positive public image could be guaranteed.
PitchPerfect could also be used as an everyday tool to help people with disabilities have an easier time communicating on the phone. PitchPerfect has the capability to make speech clearer and adjust the tone and cadence to be more easily understood to listeners.

Paralanguage

Paralanguage refers to the non-verbal elements of communication used to modify meaning and convey emotion. Paralanguage may be expressed consciously or unconsciously, and it includes the pitch, volume, and, in some cases, intonation of speech. Sometimes the definition is restricted to vocally-produced sounds.

What is scary

What is scary is that the person on the other end is no longer connecting to reality, since the new voice is a fiction. One is really only receiving a mirror of oneself. On the other hand, if people do this naturally, especially in the cases of those who are really good at it, then it's somewhat the same.
Is it really true, though, that people always are attracted by or prefer to hear their own voice cadence, etc? How about the saying that "opposites attract"?
